AN ACT PROHIBITING THE INCREASE OF GRANTS UNDER THE CITIZENS' ELECTION PROGRAM.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That subsection (d) of section 9-705 of the general statutes be amended to (1) prohibit any increase, in accordance with any change in the consumer price index, in the amount of grants awarded under the Citizens' Election Program, and (2) credit to the resources of the General Fund any increase that would have resulted but for such prohibition.
Statement of Purpose:
To prohibit any increase in the amount of the grants awarded under the Citizens' Election Program.
