AN ACT CONCERNING ELECTION DAY REGISTRATION LOCATIONS.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That section 9-19j of the general statutes be amended to, in the event the registrars of voters of a municipality do not agree on the designation of a location for the completion and processing of election day registration applications on election day, require the chief elected official of such municipality to designate such a location.
Statement of Purpose:
To authorize the chief elected official of a municipality to designate an election day registration location when the registrars of voters fail to agree on such a location.
