AN ACT PROTECTING OWNERSHIP IN INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY CREATED AT INSTITUTIONS OF HIGHER EDUCATION.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That the general statutes be amended to allow any person who creates intellectual property at an institution of higher education in the state to retain certain ownership rights over such property and to penalize anyone who attempts to exploit such property by virtue of where it was created.
Statement of Purpose:
To protect the rights of intellectual property creators.
