AN ACT ESTABLISHING A PILOT PROGRAM TO COLLECT DATA REGARDING IN-STATE STUDENTS THAT WILL ENABLE PROSPECTIVE STUDENTS TO MAKE INFORMED DECISIONS REGARDING THEIR INTENDED CAREER PATHS.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

That title 10a of the general statutes be amended to establish a pilot program at a public institution of higher education to collect longitudinal data regarding in-state students, including, but not limited to, the percentage of students who enroll in remedial courses, the average time it takes a student to complete his or her degree, graduation rates and job placement rates in the students' chosen fields, for purposes of enabling prospective students of such institution of higher education to have realistic expectations of their employability upon graduation and to make informed decisions about their intended career paths.
