AN ACT INSTITUTING A FIVE-YEAR BAN ON STATE-ADMINISTERED GENERAL ASSISTANCE FOR DRUG FELONS.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

That section 17b-191 of the general statutes be amended to institute a five-year ban on any person convicted of a drug felony from receiving state-administered general assistance, provided such person's family members shall not be prevented from receiving such assistance.

Statement of Purpose: 

To ban drug felons from receiving state-administered general assistance for five years after their convictions.
