AN ACT CONCERNING ELIGIBILITY FOR UNEMPLOYMENT COMPENSATION BENEFITS.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

That the general statutes be amended to require an employee to be employed by his or her employer for at least thirty days before becoming eligible to receive unemployment benefits.

Statement of Purpose: 

To require that employees be employed for a period of thirty days before becoming eligible to file a claim for unemployment benefits.
