AN ACT REQUIRING MUNICIPAL APPROVAL OF A PROPOSED CASINO GAMING FACILITY.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That special act 15-7 be amended to require that, prior to a tribal business entity establishing a proposed casino gaming facility in the state, the municipality where such facility is to be located shall hold a public hearing on such proposed facility and shall hold a referendum to approve such proposed facility.
Statement of Purpose:
To require a municipality where a proposed casino gaming facility may be located to hold a public hearing regarding such facility and to hold a referendum to approve such facility before such facility may be established.
