AN ACT CONCERNING MUNICIPAL COLLECTIVE BARGAINING AGREEMENTS.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That the general statutes be amended to require that (1) a collective bargaining agreement between a municipality and its employees be approved by the municipality's board of finance or equivalent body, and (2) a representative of the municipality's board of finance or equivalent body shall participate in collective bargaining agreement negotiations and vote on proposed collective bargaining agreements.
Statement of Purpose:
To require that a collective bargaining agreement between a municipality and its employees be approved by the municipality's board of finance or equivalent body and to require that a representative of the municipality's board of finance or equivalent body participate in collective bargaining agreement negotiations and vote on proposed collective bargaining agreements.
