AN ACT CONCERNING THE PASSAGE OF MUNICIPAL MANDATES.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That the general statutes be amended to require the approval of two-thirds of the members of both chambers of the General Assembly for passage of any new mandate on municipalities.
Statement of Purpose:
To require a two-thirds majority vote of both chambers in order to pass new mandates.
