AN ACT CONCERNING THE DEPARTMENT OF CHILDREN AND FAMILIES, MUNICIPALITIES AND REIMBURSEMENT FOR THE COST OF EDUCATING NONRESIDENT STUDENTS.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That the general statutes be amended to require the Department of Children and Families to reimburse towns for the costs of nonresident students it places in the education system of such town.
Statement of Purpose:
To require the Department of Children and Families to reimburse towns for the costs of educating nonresident children that are placed in such towns.
