AN ACT CONCERNING THE PROVISION OF ALTERNATIVE EDUCATIONAL OPPORTUNITIES FOR EXPELLED STUDENTS BY BOARDS OF EDUCATION.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That subsection (d) of section 10-233d of the general statutes be amended to allow local and regional boards of education to provide alternative educational opportunities for expelled students that are independent and distinct from the requirements of alternative education as prescribed in section 10-74j of the general statutes.
Statement of Purpose:
To retain municipal control over alternative educational opportunities for expelled students.
