AN ACT CONCERNING STATUTES OF LIMITATIONS APPLICABLE TO A CHILD WHO WAS FORMERLY COMMITTED TO THE CUSTODY OF THE DEPARTMENT OF CHILDREN AND FAMILIES.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

That chapter 926 of the general statutes be amended to extend statutes of limitations for certain civil actions filed by, or on behalf of, a child who was formerly committed to the custody of the Department of Children and Families.

Statement of Purpose: 

To extend statutes of limitations for certain civil actions filed by, or on behalf of, a child who was formerly committed to the custody of the Department of Children and Families.
