AN ACT CONCERNING THE ESTABLISHMENT OF MILL RATES BY LOCAL BOARDS OF EDUCATION.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That title 7 of the general statutes be amended to permit municipalities to, by charter or referendum, authorize local boards of education to establish separate mill rates for the purpose of funding local public education.
Statement of Purpose:
To authorize local boards of education to establish separate mill rates to fund local public education.
