AN ACT CONCERNING MUNICIPALITIES' LOCAL EMERGENCY MEDICAL SERVICES PLANS.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

That subsection (e) of section 17a-714a be amended to require "at least one emergency services provider, as defined in section 19a-179-1 of the regulations of Connecticut state agencies," to replace the term "emergency responder".

Statement of Purpose: 

To clarify the minimum number of service providers required to carry an opioid antagonist pursuant to a municipality's local emergency medical services plan and to align terminology with that in the relevant section of the Regulations of Connecticut State Agencies.
