AN ACT CONCERNING STATE AGENCY BUDGET DEFICIENCIES.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That the general statutes be amended to require each state agency to notify the joint standing committee of the General Assembly having cognizance of matters relating to such agency whenever the agency projects a deficiency in the agency's budget of more than five hundred thousand dollars.
Statement of Purpose:
To allow the legislature to work with state agencies in finding cost saving measures to reduce or eliminate budget deficiencies.
