AN ACT REQUIRING PET SHOP SOURCING OF CATS AND DOGS BE CONSISTENT WITH REQUIREMENTS OF THE UNITED STATES DEPARTMENT OF AGRICULTURE.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

That section 22-354 of the general statutes be amended to ensure that the sourcing of dogs and cats sold by pet shops be consistent with the requirements of the United States Department of Agriculture. 

Statement of Purpose: 

To ensure the sourcing of dogs and cats by pet shops in the state is consistent with USDA practices.
