AN ACT CONCERNING FALSE OR MISLEADING ADVERTISING IN THE SALE OF ALCOHOLIC LIQUOR. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened: That the general statutes be amended to provide that any person who engages in false or misleading advertising in the sale of alcoholic liquor, including the sale of alcoholic liquor in violation of minimum bottle price provisions, shall have committed a per se violation of section 42-110b of the general statutes and shall be subject to all applicable fines, penalties and provisions of chapter 735a of the general statutes, as well as an additional mandatory twenty-five-thousand-dollar fine for each day of publication of such false or misleading advertising. Statement of Purpose: To prevent the publication of advertising by alcoholic liquor retailers that suggests that discounts are being given for alcoholic liquor regulated by minimum bottle pricing.
