AN ACT CONCERNING THE DEALING OF SYNTHETIC DRUGS.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

That title 21a of the general statutes be amended to increase penalties for dealing synthetic drugs that are controlled substances intended for human consumption and are structurally or pharmacologically similar to, or represented as being similar to heroin, opium or other opioids.

Statement of Purpose: 

To protect the public by increasing the penalties for dealing synthetic drugs.
