AN ACT CONCERNING GOOD SAMARITAN PROTECTIONS FOR INDIVIDUALS WHO RESCUE ANIMALS CONFINED IN AN AUTOMOBILE WHEN THERE IS EXTREME HEAT.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

That chapter 925 of the general statutes be amended to create an affirmative defense for any individual rescuing an animal confined in a hot car.

Statement of Purpose: 

To create an affirmative defense for a person rescuing an animal from a hot car.
