AN ACT CONCERNING HUMAN TRAFFICKING AWARENESS TRAINING.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

That the general statutes be amended to require human trafficking awareness training for all medical personnel and educators, to require human trafficking awareness and assistance signage in nail salons and certain businesses offering spa or massage services, and to mirror federal executive order 13627 Strengthening Protections Against Trafficking in Persons in Federal Contracts or the California Supply Chain Transparency Act as the Connecticut Slave Free Supply Chain Act.

Statement of Purpose: 

To address forced and exploited labor.
