AN ACT CONCERNING DRUG DEALER LIABILITY.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That title 53a of the general statutes be amended to establish a crime of homicide for a person who sells a controlled opiate substance that results in the death of another person.
Statement of Purpose:
To hold drug dealers liable for the sale of drugs that result in the death of the person who purchased the drugs from the dealer.
