AN ACT CONCERNING TEMPORARY PERMITS ISSUED TO APPLICANTS FOR LICENSURE AS A REGISTERED NURSE.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

That section 20-94 of the general statutes be amended to require the temporary permits issued to an applicant for licensure as a registered nurse without examination who is licensed at the time of application in another state, the District of Columbia or a commonwealth or territory to be valid for a period not to exceed two years.

Statement of Purpose: 

To allow applicants ample time to meet the state's licensing requirements.
