AN ACT ALLOWING CHIROPRACTORS TO DIAGNOSE AND CLEAR STUDENT ATHLETES FOR PARTICIPATION IN AN ATHLETIC EVENT AFTER A CONCUSSION.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That section 10-149c of the general statutes be amended to allow chiropractors to diagnose student athletes with a concussion or signs of a concussion and to clear student athletes for participation in an intramural or interscholastic athletic activity after being diagnosed with or displaying signs of having suffered a concussion.
Statement of Purpose:
To allow chiropractors to clear student athletes for play after concussions.
