AN ACT CONCERNING GOOD SAMARITAN PROTECTIONS FOR FIRST RESPONDERS WHO RENDER FIRST AID TO POLICE DOGS.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

That section 52-557b of the general statutes be amended to extend immunity under the Good Samaritan law to any first responder that renders emergency first aid to an injured dog owned by a law enforcement agency. 

Statement of Purpose: 

To extend the Good Samaritan law to apply to first responders that provide first aid to injured police dogs.
