AN ACT DEFINING PEACE OFFICER TO INCLUDE TELECOMMUNICATORS.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That section 53a-3 of the general statutes be amended to redefine "peace officer" to include a telecommunicator, as defined in section 28-30 of the general statutes.
Statement of Purpose:
To include a person employed as a telecommunications operator by any public safety agency or private safety agency under the definition of a peace officer.
