AN ACT CONCERNING POST-TRAUMATIC STRESS DISORDER ISSUES IMPACTING VETERANS INVOLVED IN THE CRIMINAL JUSTICE SYSTEM.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

That the general statutes be amended to require the Judicial Department to include in the training programs currently provided to judges information related to mental health and post-traumatic stress disorder issues facing veterans who are involved in the criminal justice system.

Statement of Purpose: 

To provide judges with information related to mental health and post-traumatic stress disorder issues that may impact veterans involved in the criminal justice system.
