AN ACT CONCERNING SPACE IN PUBLIC LIBRARIES FOR USE BY START-UP BUSINESSES.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

That title 11 of the general statutes be amended to require public libraries to provide, within available resources, space inside the library for an owner of a start-up business to use such space and library equipment for purposes relating to such start-up business, including, but not limited to, free access to computers, printers and research resources.

Statement of Purpose: 

To provide space in public libraries for start-up businesses to perform office functions.
