AN ACT REQUIRING ELECTRONIC BENEFIT TRANSFER CARD HOLDERS TO VERIFY STATE RESIDENCE.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

That title 17b of the general statutes be amended to require electronic benefit transfer card holders to verify state residence when the cards are used out of state for ninety days or longer.

Statement of Purpose: 

To prevent fraud in the use of electronic benefit transfer cards.
