AN ACT LIMITING PUBLIC ASSISTANCE FOR ABLE-BODIED ADULTS WITHOUT DEPENDENTS.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That title 17b of the general statutes be amended to prevent able-bodied adults without dependents from receiving supplemental nutrition assistance or state financial assistance for more than three months unless they work not less than twenty hours per week, participate in an approved work training plan or participate in qualified volunteer service.
Statement of Purpose:
To require certain parameters to be met in order to receive supplemental nutritional assistance or other state financial assistance.
