AN ACT CONCERNING PROFESSIONAL LIABILITY INSURANCE COVERAGE FOR SCHOOL-BASED HEALTH CENTERS.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That the general statutes be amended to (1) require school-based health centers to procure and maintain professional liability insurance in amounts as set forth in a contract or an agreement between such health center and the Department of Public Health, and (2) prohibit municipalities from requiring higher coverage amounts without the prior approval of the Commissioner of Public Health.
Statement of Purpose:
