AN ACT RAISING PUBLIC AWARENESS OF TICK-BORNE ILLNESSES.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

That title 19a of the general statutes be amended to require the Department of Public Health to develop and execute a social marketing campaign to educate individuals and entities in the state regarding tick-borne illnesses.

Statement of Purpose: 

To raise public awareness of various tick-borne illnesses with the goal of preventing, identifying and treating such illnesses.
