AN ACT ALLOWING NATUROPATHIC PHYSICIANS TO PRESCRIBE MEDICATION IN COLLABORATION WITH A PHYSICIAN OR ADVANCED PRACTICE REGISTERED NURSE.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That chapter 373 of the general statutes be amended to allow a licensed naturopathic physician to prescribe any medication recognized in the official United States Pharmacopoeia, official Homeopathic Pharmacopoeia of the United States or official National Formulary pursuant to a collaborative agreement with a licensed physician or advanced practice registered nurse.
Statement of Purpose:
To allow naturopathic physicians to prescribe medication pursuant to a collaborative agreement with a licensed physician or advanced practice registered nurse.
