AN ACT REQUIRING THE DEPARTMENT OF MOTOR VEHICLES TO ENTER INTO SERVICE AGREEMENTS WITH GEOGRAPHICALLY DIVERSE CONTRACTORS.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That section 14-41 of the general statutes be amended to require the Department of Motor Vehicles to (1) enter into agreements with contractors to issue and renew licenses and register motor vehicles, and (2) ensure such contractors serve different geographical regions of the state.
Statement of Purpose:
To expand the use of contractors in different regions of the state to provide services currently performed by the Department of Motor Vehicles.
