AN ACT CONCERNING MOTOR VEHICLE REGISTRATION AND OUT-OF-STATE MOTOR VEHICLES.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

That section 14-12 of the general statutes be amended to require an owner of a motor vehicle which is validly registered in another state to register such vehicle with the Commissioner of Motor Vehicles within thirty days of establishing residency in this state, registering a child in a school located in this state or obtaining employment in this state.

Statement of Purpose: 

To require an owner of a motor vehicle which is registered in another state to register such vehicle with the Commissioner of Motor Vehicles within thirty days of establishing residency in this state, registering a child in a school located in this state or obtaining employment in this state.
