AN ACT ELIMINATING NONFEDERAL STATE HOLIDAYS.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

That section 1-4 of the general statutes be amended to eliminate any holidays that are not federal holidays and that section 5-254 of the general statutes be amended to prohibit any collective bargaining agreement from granting paid time-off to state employees for any holidays that are not federal holidays. 

Statement of Purpose: 

To save money by eliminating nonfederal state holidays.
