AN ACT REQUIRING THE REGISTRATION OF ANIMAL SHELTERS.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That the general statutes be amended to require the registration of animal shelters and authorize the inspection of such animal shelters by animal control officers for compliance with certain standards. Additionally, the Commissioner of Agriculture would be authorized to suspend the registration of any shelter that does not meet such standards.
Statement of Purpose:
To improve animal shelters in Connecticut.
