AN ACT DESIGNATING THE SHORELINE OF THE TOWN OF STRATFORD AS A "NO KILL OR HARVEST ZONE" FOR HORSESHOE CRABS.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
Section 1. (NEW) (Effective from passage) No person shall engage in the hand-harvest of horseshoe crabs from any area of the shoreline located in the town of Stratford.
This act shall take effect as follows and shall amend the following sections:

Statement of Purpose:
To preserve the Stratford horseshoe crab breeding grounds for uses such as pharmaceutical development.
