AN ACT ESTABLISHING A UNIFORM METHOD OF TAXATION FOR ALL TOBACCO PRODUCTS.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That title 12 of the general statutes be amended to establish a uniform method of taxation for all tobacco products, such tax revenue to be deposited into an account established to fund tobacco cessation programs and an account to fund Medicaid programs.
Statement of Purpose:
To promote tax parity between all tobacco products by establishing a uniform method of taxation.
