AN ACT REQUIRING FISCAL NOTES FOR PROPOSED BOND AUTHORIZATIONS.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That the general statutes be amended to require each proposed bond authorization to include, prior to approval of any such authorization by the joint standing committee of the General Assembly having cognizance of matters relating to finance, revenue and bonding, a fiscal note of the impact of such authorization on the aggregate amount of indebtedness.
Statement of Purpose:
To encourage fiscal restraint in the bond authorization process.
