AN ACT ELIMINATING PROPERTY TAX EXEMPTIONS FOR CERTAIN NONPROFIT ORGANIZATIONS.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That the general statutes be amended to require any nonprofit organization that pays an administrator five hundred thousand dollars or more per year in salary and bonuses to pay property taxes in the municipality in which such organization is located.
Statement of Purpose:
To increase savings to municipalities by eliminating property tax exemptions for certain nonprofit organizations.
