AN ACT CONCERNING REAL-TIME ACCESS TO INDIVIDUAL-LEVEL DATA FOR VITAL STATISTICS, EMERGENCY CARE AND COMMUNICABLE DISEASE RECORDS.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That title 19a of the general statutes be amended to require the reporting of individual-level data regarding vital statistics, emergency care and communicable diseases and provide access to such data to full-time local health directors.
Statement of Purpose:
To better position municipal health departments and district departments of health to address the health care needs of their jurisdiction in a timely manner.
