AN ACT AUTHORIZING BONDS OF THE STATE FOR PEDESTRIAN, VEHICLE AND BICYCLE IMPROVEMENTS TO ROUTE 80 IN NEW HAVEN AND EAST HAVEN.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

That the State Bond Commission be empowered to authorize the issuance of bonds of the state in accordance with section 3-20 of the general statutes, in principal amounts not exceeding in the aggregate seven million dollars, the proceeds of which shall be used by the Department of Transportation for the purpose of providing a grant-in-aid to the city of New Haven and the town of East Haven for pedestrian, vehicle and bicycle improvements to the portion of Route 80 between Interstate 91 in New Haven and Mill Street and Thompson Street in East Haven.

Statement of Purpose: 

To provide funding for improvements to Route 80 in New Haven and East Haven.
