AN ACT CONCERNING THE FAIR SALE OF TICKETS TO ENTERTAINMENT EVENTS.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

That the general statutes be amended to provide that no person who issues tickets for admission to an event shall issue any such ticket solely through a delivery method that substantially prevents the purchaser of the ticket from lawfully reselling the ticket on an Internet ticketing platform of the ticket purchaser's choice. No person shall be penalized, discriminated against or denied admission to an event solely on the basis that the person resold a ticket, or purchased a resold ticket, on an Internet ticketing platform.

Statement of Purpose:

To prohibit restrictions on the consumer resale of tickets and encourage competition and lower ticket prices for consumers.
