AN ACT CONCERNING OFFERS TO CONTRACT WITH SCHOOL-BASED HEALTH CENTERS.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That section 38a-472e of the general statutes be amended to require any health insurer that offers to contract with any school-based health center to provide reimbursement for covered health care services delivered to persons insured by such insurer do so on terms and conditions that are similar to terms and conditions offered to other health care providers, except that such insurer shall not (1) require any copayment for medical services or mental health services, or (2) disclose any statement of the nature of medical services or mental health services furnished by such center.
Statement of Purpose:
To prohibit any health insurer that contracts with a school-based health center from requiring any copayment for, or disclosure of any statement concerning the nature of, medical services or mental health services furnished by such center.
