AN ACT CONCERNING POLICE MISCONDUCT.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That the general statutes be amended to provide for the immediate suspension without pay for any state or municipal police officer who uses excessive force and the automatic termination of any state or municipal police officer who is convicted of or pleads guilty or nolo contendere to any crime related to such officer's employment.
Statement of Purpose:
To establish accountability for police officers by creating consequences when police officers use excessive force.
