AN ACT REQUIRING A CRIMINAL HISTORY RECORDS CHECK FOR PERSONS WHO ENROLL IN A CLASS FOR CERTIFICATION AS EMERGENCY MEDICAL SERVICES PERSONNEL. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened: That title 20 of the general statutes be amended to require every person who enrolls in a class for certification as emergency medical services personnel to submit a valid criminal history records check performed under section 29-17a of the general statutes or, in lieu thereof, a valid and current permit to carry a pistol or revolver. Statement of Purpose: To require a criminal history records check for persons who enroll in a class for certification as emergency medical services personnel.
