AN ACT CONCERNING FUNERAL DIRECTORS AND EMBALMERS.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

That, notwithstanding the provisions of section 20-227 of the general statutes, the general statutes be amended to prohibit the Department of Public Health from revoking or suspending the license of a funeral director or embalmer who has been licensed in the state under section 20-217 or 20-213 of the general statutes, respectively, since on or before March 31, 2017, and who has completed and passed an examination for licensing in the state that was invalidated by the examining body after the funeral director or embalmer was licensed and has been practicing in the state.

Statement of Purpose: 

To enable experienced funeral directors and embalmers to maintain their license.
