AN ACT PERMITTING BOARDS OF EDUCATION TO CHOOSE THE DATE ON WHICH A CHILD MUST TURN FIVE YEARS OLD IN ORDER TO ENROLL IN KINDERGARTEN. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened: That section 10-15c of the general statutes be amended to permit local and regional boards of education to choose the date on which a child must turn five years of age to be eligible to enroll in kindergarten. Statement of Purpose: To allow boards of education to choose when a student can start kindergarten.
