AN ACT CONCERNING THE FEE FOR AN AMERICAN FLAG ON A NONEXPIRED MOTOR VEHICLE DRIVER'S LICENSE HELD BY A VETERAN.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That section 14-50a of the general statutes be amended to eliminate the thirty-dollar fee charged to any veteran who applies for an American flag symbol on a motor vehicle driver's license prior to the renewal date of such license.
Statement of Purpose:
To allow veterans to have motor vehicle operator's licenses reissued, free of charge, with an American flag prior to the expiration of any such license.
