AN ACT CONCERNING VACCINATION EDUCATION FOR PARENTS AND GUARDIANS OF CHILDREN SEEKING AN EXEMPTION FROM IMMUNIZATION REQUIREMENTS FOR RELIGIOUS REASONS. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened: That section 10-204a of the general statutes be amended to require any parent or guardian who presents a statement that the immunizations under said section would be contrary to the religious beliefs of such parent or guardian or his or her child to have attended a science-based educational session regarding the efficacy and safety of vaccines prior to such child being exempted Statement of Purpose: To require a science-based educational session regarding the efficacy and safety of vaccines for those seeking an exemption from immunization requirements for religious reasons.
